Tara Waite (nee Kneafsey) has served as CEO of Premium Credit since June 2019 and has over 25 years experience in financial services both in the UK and International roles.

Before Premium Credit, Tara served as the Group CEO of Wonga Group, an international fintech consumer lending company operating in Europe and South Africa. Prior to leading the group, she was the CEO of its UK consumer lending division, where she successfully led the business through a turnaround and achieved regulatory authorisation.

Tara has also held various leadership positions at RSA Insurance Group, including Managing Director of the UK’s SME and Delegated Authority business, as well as CEO of RSA’s flagship business in Latvia. She began her career as a management consultant, working at both Andersen and Ernst and Young.

Tara earned a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics from Trinity College Dublin, along with a Master’s degree in the same field. Additionally, she serves as a visiting Fellow at Oxford University’s SAID Business School.
